NATURE ONE 2010 – Thank you all!

image

It was just amazing – the second year in our massive tent was magical! Not less than twenty-one artists played during this year’s NATURE ONE Festival on our Abstract floor. If it was Gayle San and Sven Wittekind’s monstrous 3 hour-back2back set (a premiere by the way!) or Friday’s ‘tearing up the tent’ session with BMG aka Brachiale Musikgestalter – it rocked! Shortly before 4 o’clock on Sunday morning the Abstract Crew took over Century Circus and Sven Wittekind, Arkus P., Space DJz, BMG aka Brachiale Musikgestalter and Torsten Kanzler ended this fabulous weekend with a bang!

SYNDICATE 2010

image

SYNDICATE will be that unique experience in the German dance scene. This is the event where only harder styles dominate the dancefloor. Once a year the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund will be transformed into a massive and impressing landscape, where all the dedicated frontline soldiers in harder styles unite. A musical fusion of the harder styles, where ambassadors from all over the globe will gather is up hand. Hardcore, hardstyle and hardtechno will fuse in one unbreakable force. Release yourself from the restricted society you live in and set yourself free in the distorted reality of SYNDICATE. Our Abstract artists will be in charge of the Hardtechno Force Floor and with Pet Duo, Frank Kvitta, Arkus P. vs. Boris S., BMG aka Brachiale Musikgestalter, Waldhaus, Deadly Sins aka Robert Natus, Day-Mar, Kenned Pool, Sutura und Razor on stage this floor will be a seriously bangin‘ affair!

Out in September – TKR 005 – including Sven Wittekind & Torsten Kanzler RMX

image

Fett Bass Remixes.
Who knows and liked this track will love the remixes. Only top notch artists of the techno scene laid hands on this track. Frank Kvitta, Deh-Noizer & Mark Morris, Tino Boa, Boris Schalk and Sven Wittekind who added an even fatter bass to this track. The best part of this EP is definitely the fusion of DJ Rush’s ‚Space Man‘ with the dark and dirty „Fett Bass“ – a mash up by Torsten Kanzler himself.

Out Now – La Rocca - Holgi Star & Falko Niestolik

image

Techno veteran and head honcho of Kiddaz.fm meets House-DJ and producer Falko Niestolik! With their combined ideas, lots of cool drinks, a frisky mood and a big pinch of humour they went into the studio for days, weeks, or was it months ? The result - La rocca – can’t be pigeonhold, but that was exactly the goal. An awesome burner, which rocks every party!

Out Now – Dj Sutura – Made in Germany E.P.

image

Finally it is there: Sutura’s Bonehead Records! The first release will be made by the man himself: ‚Made in Germany‘ will be the name of the EP on this brandnew label. But Sutura is certainly not new on the techno circuit: With releases on Abstract, Inflicted, Kne‘ Deep, Toolterror and Cause under his belt it was just a matter of time till he would pull his own imprint out of a hat. Bonehead will be a pure Hardtechno label, featuring national as well international artists from now on. Long story short: Music says more then words ever could – check it out, friends!

Torsten kanzler interview

image

How would you describe your current sound and what are your Top 3 tracks at the moment ?
I’d just say I love and live Techno. Sometimes happens that I step up another gear to some harder stuff but that really depends on the crowd and the location. I actually like it when I’m able to push people to another level till they go mental and freak out.
My three favourite tracks at the moment are „Sway“ (Oliver Tatsch, Torsten Kanzler Remix),, „Going up“ (Industrialyzer), and „Sonne“ (P.Slang).

What kind of equipment are you using at the moment ?
My equipment currently consists of Traktor Scratch and the X1controller by NI. At the moment I’m checking out the Maschine controller to integrate that one in my sets as well. I’m really looking forward to all those new opportunities this step will open up.

As an artists you’ve played in lots of different countries – which countries fascinate you and why ?
Actually I’m fascinated by all countries. Spain, Poland, Italy, Brazil, Netherlands, Czech Republic or Belgium – it’s been always fun and every country had it’s specialities. I some countries people go mental on the dance floor and in others they wear fancy dress at the same time. This is awesome! But one thing they all have together: their love of music.

Where can we catch you during the next months ?
Basically everywhere, but one thing I’d like to reveal: For the Killaz B-day party, taking place on the 17th of September at Tresor Berlin, you can catch me besides a first-class international line up. As every year this party also doubles as my B-Day – celebration guaranteed.

On which releases or projects are you currently working on ?
On 19th of August, TKR 005-R with ‚Fett Bass‘ remixes, including Sven Wittekind and Boris Schalk, will be released on Beatport. Bonus on this EP is a mash-up mix of ‚Fett Bass‘ with DJ Rush’s ‚Space Man‘.Furthemore one of my remixes was released on A.Paul’s label Naked Lunch and I’m working on an EP for a huge italian label. And watch out for the next Killaz, which will be out end of September.

What are your goals for 2010?
Of course the world domination and after reaching that, I’ll gonna go on a sailing trip around the world in my granny’s tub.

Which concert/party/festival did you visit last, solely for private reasons?
Definitely NATURE ONE. I would’ve come there, even if they would not have booked me.
